A little help
along the way.
Something not working as you expected?

If you’re reporting a problem, include your iPhone model, iOS version, app version, and what happened. A screenshot can help—please hide any private tasks or thoughts. Never send passwords or verification codes.
A few useful answers
Find your next small step.
Do I have to type a task when I choose a quick option?
No. Under Quick start, a practice such as Creative work, Reading, or Life admin gives the session its task. You can choose one and continue without filling in your own task. Choose the separate My own task option when you want to name something specific instead.
What happens if I lock my phone or leave the app?
Your session keeps time in the background and while the screen is locked. Counted time stops at your planned duration until you explicitly choose to extend. A paused session does not add time. You can enable an optional session-end notification in Settings.
What does “I noticed a distraction” do?
It adds one voluntary check-in without pausing or changing the session timer. It is a gentle way to notice and return, not a score. You never need to log every distraction.
If a thought needs somewhere to go, you can park it during your session and come back to it later.
Can Transcend block other apps?
No. App blocking is not available. Phone-away and quiet-screen options do not restrict other apps, and Transcend cannot switch on Do Not Disturb for you. You can adjust iPhone Focus settings yourself if that helps.
How do I turn on reminders or session-end alerts?
Both start off. In Transcend’s Settings, use Gentle reminders for an optional daily invitation, or enable Session-end notifications for a completion alert. Allow notifications when iOS asks.
If alerts are missing, check iPhone Settings → Notifications → Transcend, along with your Focus and notification-summary settings. Delivery and sound depend on iOS settings; you can still use the app without notifications.
What does the Progress line chart show?
The chart shows the longest saved session for each day in the month you are viewing. Days run across the bottom; counted minutes run up the side. Pauses are excluded, and days without saved sessions are left blank.
A session belongs to the day it started, using your current calendar and time zone. This is time set aside, not a measurement of uninterrupted attention. Longer isn’t automatically better.
Where is my history? Does it sync between devices?
Your history lives in Transcend’s local storage on your device. There is no account or app-managed cloud sync. Depending on your settings, iOS may include app data in a device backup.
The developer cannot retrieve your local history. Before removing the app or clearing data, export anything you want to keep.
How do I export or delete my information?
Open Settings → Your data. Choose Export sessions · CSV for saved sessions, or Export all my data · JSON for app records and preferences, then select a destination in the iOS share sheet. Review your export before sharing: it can contain your private task names, thoughts, and reflections.
Clear local data removes the app’s working records, drafts, preferences, temporary export files, and notifications after confirmation. It does not remove copies you already exported or copies in older device backups. The app returns to its default starter practices.
A save failed. What should I do?
Keep the app installed and use its retry action. The app retains the session content when a save fails, and shows the saved confirmation only after the save succeeds. Check that your iPhone has available storage. If the issue continues, contact support with the exact error and the steps that led to it.
Can I replay the introduction or send feedback?
Yes. In Settings → Help & feedback, you can replay the introduction without erasing saved history. You can also write feedback and export it as a text file to share however you choose. Feedback is not sent automatically; you can email it to the support address above.
